The Alnico IV Classic is a matched humbucker set that is pick sensitive, rich in harmonics and with a tight bass.
When you crank the gain, these pickups saturate quickly and start to “sing” harmonically, with a vocal, flutey quality – the mark of a great PAF!
All AC4 pickups are fully wax potted to avoid microphonic feedback, and come with supplied with #3/48 screws, springs and an installation guide.
Available individually or as a set. Four conductor wiring as standard on all models.

Recently installed Alnico IV Classic pickups on my Gretsch guitar and am so pleased with the detailed tone and also a sustain which seems to ring out for so long. Would highly recommend anything by Tonerider . I have also replaced the factory pickups on my Mexican Fender Strat and it is like a guitar reborn with great midrange tone that had been missing before.
They stay on my Gibson R7
These pickups come second to none, perfect quality and perfect tone.
For many years I've always gravitated towards Alnico V pickups and occasionally Alnico ll for PAF's but after finally taking a punt on some Alnico lV's I'm eating humble pie and enjoying it!
Fantastic sounding pickups. Bright in the right way, plenty of bite and growl, nice tight bass and some fun 'pick chirp' to play with too. Definitely enjoying these and would recommend them 100%
Installed in my LP guitar and gave me the sound I was looking for. I recommend these pickups for those P.A.F Tones.
