Best pups, not just because of the price point, but because they sound top notch. Great tones!

SRV and Philip Sayce tones at a bargain price. Great pickups!

Firstly thank you for making these pickups left handed (and not charging me extra for the privilege!) I put them into a 1995 MiM “Squier Series” Strat. I had some misgivings as the stock pickups were really good having a nice “scooped out hollow howl”. But I’m glad I did as the City Limits retain this but also have far more clarity a dynamic range, providing some thumping Precision Bass like sounds in the neck position. I saw SRV in June 1988 at the Hammersmith Odeon (his last ever UK gig), and I would say these pickups certainly have his sound. Excellent service, excellent pickups!

Excellent pickups.

These pickups gave me that true Strat tone I was after for my Mexican. I was provided with a wiring diagram and they were easy to install with all parts readily available. I let my friend who is a Strat fanatic and he was blown away how good these pickups are. I have also purchased an Alnico 2 humbucker for my HSS which has wonderful rich bell tones. Really impressed with them and for the price it’s a no brainier

Amazing Strat Tone

Purchased City Limits neck and middle pickup to accompany the rocksong humbucker in the bridge position. As a rhythm guitarist I normally live in position 4; however, it is great having the rocksong to cut thru a mix with a sax player and lead guitarist who uses a A5 Les Paul. These pickups produce the best tone for classic rock/country to blues. I highly recommend City Limits/Rocksong HSS pickups.

City Limits Stratocaster set

I have the City Limits set on my favorite guitar. I have had Fender CS and a couple of hand wound pickups on it after getting it and happened to get the CLs for a cheaper guitar that needed pickups. After trying them I decided I wanted them on my best Stratocaster and they’ve been in there for probably close to a decade now. They are my perfect pickup set. I prefer them to the TX SPs or any other set I’ve tried no matter the price. The other sets I’ve tried from ToneRider have been very good as well but these are my favorites. Great sounding and built like a great vintage style pickup with rubberized flatwork and pushback wires.
