Built using a custom Alnico 8 magnet, Octanes are warmer than ceramic magnet pickups, and allow for amazing harmonic complexity at high gain settings.
All Octane pickups are fully wax potted to avoid microphonic feedback, and come with supplied with #3/48 screws, springs and an installation guide.

Octane Set on my Thinline Telecaster match perfectly for 80's / 90's Rock Style. Both Pickups installed with PushPullPotis for humbucker and / or parallel singlecoil mode, I love them. Good Job! And thank you guys for the wiring diagrams!
Octane Neck is a brutal pickup, I recently used it for a recording and the sound it delivers is heavy and brazen. In combination with an octave and overdrive it is a delightful tone. I was surprised at how well calibrated the bass is, it doesn't get muddy.

Best Pickup ive played so far. Enough Punch and Attack for Singing Leads and Riffs, works perfectly with the Volume Pot to clear it up. Gives some "active" Vibes with the transparency and the dynamic of a passive Pickup. Tonerider Octane will be my first choice for a bridge pickup for Punkrock, Metal and Downtunings. Matches perfectly with a Generator in the Neck.
Installed in a RGR652 with a 5 way and even the split / parallel wirings convinced me.
I installed the Octane in a G&L Fallout guitar, and it sounds excellent. It sounds really smooth and rounded with fantastic mids. The highs are there, but there is zero harshness, and there's just enough bass. Not boomy. It sounds equally great for rhythms and leads, but would likely be more suited to rock and harder rock styles. I can highly recommend this one, I just hope you like some mids, because this has it.
